Man Pleaded Guilty For Cheating 12 Casinos
Phat Ngoc Tran, aged 35, has pleaded guilty in San Diego to participating in a racketeering enterprise in a scheme to cheat 12 casinos in the US and Canada. The suspect admitted that he together with his co-conspirators obtained approximately $2.5 million with the help of card tricks.
The list of casinos included at least 12, part of which are in the USA and part in Canada.
The team of cheaters used the technique of a false shuffle in the game of blackjack and mini-baccarat. They bribed casino dealers to create sequences of unshuffled cards and when they counted that sequence, they made big bets.
Tran is facing 20 years in prison and the sentence is scheduled for February 1st, 2025.
The other members are conspired to commit offensed on behalf of the mentioned above Tran Organization. All of them admitted to targeting approximately 24 casinos during the conspiracy.
