Double Attack Blackjack Variation

16 Oct 2008

Double Attack Blackjack is one of the most popular Atlantic City casinos games and is one of the variations of the original Blackjack game. The aim of the player as in the regular Blackjack is to come closer to 21 points without busting. However, in this version, the dealer wins a push and the player loses in case he busts. The game is played with a deck (or usually 6 decks) of 48 cards with all the Tens removed (the face cards are in the game).

The special feature of this game that makes it different from the other variations is a possibility of an optional bet that the dealer will bust with exactly three cards.

The payouts depending on the value of the dealer's third card:

  • Ten - 3 to 1
  • Nine - 6 to 1
  • Eight- 8 to 1
  • Seven- 10 to 1
  • SIx- 15 to 1

In case the dealer has an 8 in his hand and pulls out another 8 of the same suit or color, additional payouts are provided:

  • 8 of the same color - 50 to 1
  • 8 of the same suit - 200 to 1

Note, that a Natural pays out only even money, not 3 to 2 like in other variations.

NB: Please note, that all the rules of the Double Attack Blackjack as the ones provided here are general, and may differ in the casino you choose. To avoid any misunderstandings please read the rules on a website you are gambling at or ask the dealer before you play.
